SUPER ELI SET TO WED

New York’s touchdown titan is tying the knot on home turf this month.

Giant quarterback Eli Manning is set to wed college sweetheart Abby McGrew in New York in the next few weeks, family members confirmed to The Post yesterday.

The Super Bowl XLII champion and his blond bride-to-be were spotted at the Manhattan Municipal Building apparently picking up a marriage license Tuesday.

The Office of the City Clerk declined to comment, but several sources reported seeing the couple leaving the office where lovebirds fill out the necessary paperwork.

Tom McGrew, Abby’s father, confirmed the pair’s upcoming nuptials when reached at his Tennessee home by The Post, saying, “It’s toward the end of April. It’s private.”

Manning’s brother Cooper also confirmed the wedding is imminent.

There had been much speculation that the ceremony would occur at the Brentwood United Methodist Church outside McGrew’s native Nashville after the two were spotted attending services inside. But when a license is issued in New York, the ceremony has to take place within the state for the marriage to be legally valid, according to the Office of the City Clerk.

“It [will] definitely [be] small,” one invited guest said of the Manning merger. “Not a lot of people will be there.”

The family friend said the ceremony would be “low-key” – in characteristic Manning fashion.

The quarterback is a star on the field but is shy off it.

Manning, 27, proposed to McGrew, 24, in March 2007, less than a year before he threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress in the final seconds of the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots to earn himself the Most Valuable Player award.

The lovebirds have been inseparable since they were students together at the University of Mississippi.

McGrew’s main passion is fashion. When not rooting for the Giants, she is an account executive with wedding-dress and evening-wear designer Pamela Roland.
