BOOK MAKER MUSCLES GOTTI

Mob daughter Victoria Gotti is being sued by a publishing company that wants its $70,000 advance back because she failed to finish her memoir.

Lawyers for HarperCollins say they contracted with John Gotti’s daughter on March 2, 2005, to write the autobiography and another book – but all they got were “unacceptable” outlines for the first book.

Now they’ve sued in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Gotti – a published novelist – admitted yesterday she didn’t write the memoir. She said she backed out of the deal because the publisher demanded inside dirt on dad John Gotti, the late boss of the Gambino crime family.

“The book was going to be about me, my life,” she told The Post. “They wanted more than I wanted to give, they wanted more of dad than I was willing to give. It is what it is.”

The suit claims that, after failing to hand in a book, Gotti sent an e-mail on Sept. 18, 2007, stating that she wanted out of the contract. The company says it sent her a “termination agreement” the next day, but never got it or the money back.

Yesterday, Gotti admitted she owed the advance, though she differed with the amount quoted in the lawsuit.

A lawyer for HarperCollins was not available for comment. The publisher is owned by News Corp., the parent company of The Post, for which Gotti briefly wrote a column.
