SEX SHRINK HUBBY’S PLEA

The husband of a disgraced prison psychologist who cheated on him with an inmate has come to her defense – describing her as “a model citizen,” “a beautiful person,” and a victim of a momentary “loss of judgment.”

Josh Spitz, a Lehman Brothers trader and Harvard grad, wrote a letter to the judge in Magdalena Sanchez’s case, pleading for leniency at Friday’s sentencing.

“Magdalena is a model citizen, and her behavior [in] this case was totally out of character,” Spitz, 36, wrote Brooklyn federal Judge Allyne Ross. “[She] is a beautiful person . . . a kind and generous friend.”

Spitz has stood by his wife, 37, since the feds busted her in April 2007 for the illicit affair with Demetrius Hill, 29, whom she had been treating at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Spitz argued that her brother Manuel’s death in 2006 caused a temporary “loss of judgment.”

Sanchez, who pleaded guilty in March, could get up to six months in prison.
