CIVIL WAR HERO HONORED AT LAST

A brave New York soldier given the Medal of Honor for his Civil War exploits finally received his proper honors yesterday in Calvary Cemetery in Queens.

The gravesite of Pvt. Henry A. Thompson, an immigrant who later changed his name to Roderick P. Connelly, was given a new granite tombstone and a 21-gun salute during a solemn ceremony.
