SHOT COP IS ‘POT’-SHOT

An off-duty cop was shot in his car, and his gun was stolen, in a robbery on Staten Island early yesterday morning – then he landed in trouble when officers found marijuana in his pocket, police said.

Damion Lawrence, 27, a cop in Brooklyn’s 68th Precinct since last year, was shot in the right hip and right leg as he sat at the wheel of his parked Honda on Trantor Place in Port Richmond, police said.

He was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was in stable condition – and where the pot was allegedly found in his pants pocket.

Alan Floyd, 18 – an alleged member of the T-Block Crips gang with a lengthy rap sheet – was busted in the shooting. He was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and robbery.

Another suspect, Jovan Rivera, was hit with the same charges. Police were searching for another member of the gang, Naquan Thomas, 19, who they believe was the triggerman.

On the force for less than two years, Lawrence is in the NYPD’s probationary period and will likely lose his job.
