OBAMA’S FIGHT SONG: MADONNA HUMS ALONG

* Michelle Malkin, as always, is right on with her article regarding the liberals’ hatred of Sarah Palin (” ‘Rage’ on the Left,” PostOpinion, Oct. 15).

For the past eight years, all I’ve heard from the left-wing media is how dumb President Bush is because he believes in things like God, a strong military, a pre-emptive war policy to keep America safe, the free-market system and strong family values.

Somehow, the media spin this into stupidity.

Palin seems to represent some similar conservative characteristics, and the media have already labeled her as dumb. What a shock.

* When supporters at Obama-Biden rallies start shouting “terrorist,” “treason” and “kill him,” as those at McCain-Palin rallies were alleged to have done, then Malkin will have a point.

Until then, she and the other right-wing pundits look like what she so falsely called liberals in one of her published screeds: unhinged.

* I was a participant in the pro-McCain rally on the Upper West Side and can state that Malkin is absolutely correct: The pro-Obama people were nasty, vile and threatening.

At several points during our peaceful march, I felt that we would be assaulted by Obama supporters as they told their children to curse us and give us the finger.

The far left would probably greet Osama bin Laden as a liberator were he to alight in Manhattan.

What is ironic is that these same crazed leftists would probably be the first people targeted by the Islamo-fascists, since they do not like their “decadent lifestyle” and because nobody respects useful idiots.

* While I agree with Malkin that there have been crude attacks on the candidates on both sides, the shouts of “terrorist,” “off with his head” and “kill him” have allegedly come at McCain/Palin rallies, not at a concert by a pop star or on the streets.

Obama, when hearing boos at the mention of John McCain‘s name, tells his crowd of supporters that we all must treat each other with respect.

McCain has finally begun to follow this example, and it’s time for Palin to do the same.

The final weeks of this race need a higher level of discourse.

* On Oct. 11, I attended Madonna’s concert at Madison Square Garden, where she was very verbal on her feelings regarding Palin and the Republican Party.

I think it would be a better idea if Madonna kept her political opinions away from the music arena and concentrated on not making her fans wait one hour and 37 minutes for her to appear onstage.

Additionally, maybe she could use that political time and extend her concert time beyond 95 minutes.

What a disappointment the “concert” was.

* In her day, Madonna was fun, wild and refreshing, with a great sense of artistic creativity and musical capability.

Boy, have times changed.

The Madonna we see today is a shell of her former self.

She’s angry and bitter and can’t even give away her CDs.

To see someone once so vibrant become such an outright bore is really quite sad.

Madonna couldn’t shine Palin’s hunting boots.

* It is not surprising at all that the left-wing media ignore the hate-filled liberalism and vicious behavior of idiots like Madonna.

When the media become moderate and not left-wing-controlled, then and only then will the likes of a has-been like Madonna be quieted.
