A crowd of hundreds of teary-eyed friends and family gathered yesterday to honor the life of slain Meal-on-Wheels driver Emanuel Aminov – and among the funeral mourners was the last person to whom he delivered dinner.
“It was very sad,” said Emilia Villegas, 73, who got served by Aminov at her Brooklyn home moments before the 55-year-old grandfather of seven was shot dead by an unknown attacker Monday. “I’m praying to God for justice.”
The solemnity of the ceremony was pierced by the heartbroken cries of Aminov’s wife, Nadeszhda, who repeatedly yelled “I miss my husband!” and who fainted as his casket was carried to the hearse.
