The White stuff

Betty White, who was such a big hit on the first go-round of “Super Password,” will re turn for a second appearance. The show returns to CBS Dec. 21 with host Regis Philbin; the premiere epi sode features William Shat ner and Aisha Tyler.

The View” set another re cord last week, at least for now, averaging 4.7 million viewers to finish as daytime’s most-watched show for the first time. But keep in mind that numbers from syndi cated daytime shows aren’t yet available (so it’s not a done deal).

And there’s more bad news for NBC, with “Knight Rider” averaging 5.3 million viewers Wednesday – only 1.6 million more viewers than “Top Model” on The CW (they both aired 8-9 p.m.).

Better news was “Top Chef: New York,” which premiered to 2.7 million viewers Wednesday (good by Bravo standards).

ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” meanwhile, averaged 1.9 million viewers the week of Nov. 3 – its highest view ership in a year.

Last, but not least:

* “Sawmania” – featuring Beverly Mitchell (“7th Heaven”) and many others – unfolds this weekend at BLVD (199 Bowery). Sawma nia.com has details.

* Tamara Tunie (“Law & Order”) is honored tomorrow at the African American Women in Cinema Awards.

* Director Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”) vis its Shelli Sonstein Sunday at 7 a.m. on Q104.

* “Late Show” EP Barbara Gaines was cited as one of 2008’s “Ten Amazing Gay Women in Showbiz” by POWER UP in LA.

* And they’re beingserious: NBC says “SNL” and the “NBC Nightly News” are now “carbon neutral produc tions.” Someone make it stop. * Sharan Magnuson (Warner Bros. TV) in town.
