NOT YET RETIRED OF LIVING

NEVER underestimate the value of slight but charm ing flicks like Anthony Bryne’s “How About You,” which moviegoers of a certain age will flock to see at the Paris as a respite from holiday shopping.

Such veteran scene-stealers as Vanessa Redgrave, Brenda Fricker, Imelda Staunton and Joss Ackland ham it up as very naughty senior citizens who are stranded at an English retirement home over Christmas when the owner (Orla Brady) is called away on a family emergency.

The owner’s free-spirited and much more indulgent sister (Hayley Atwell) provides minimal supervision.

In the course of “How About You,” much champagne is consumed, pot is smoked, and a good time is had by all, the audience included. Redgrave even sings the title song.

Running time: 91 minutes. Not rated (profanity, sexuality). At the Paris, West 58th Street, near Fifth Avenue.
