A man driving a stolen minivan struck and killed a Brooklyn woman yesterday, cops said.
Violetta Krzyzak, 37, was hit by the speeding Dodge Caravan as she crossed Manhattan Avenue near India Street in Greenpoint at 2:12 p.m.
She died about 30 minutes later at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.
The driver, José Maldanado, 28, of Manhattan, had stolen the van a few blocks away, police said.
He kept going north on Manhattan Avenue, not stopping after hitting Krzyzak, according to cops.
Maldanado smashed into a parked SUV near Dupont Avenue, where he was arrested, police said.
He was being treated for a broken toe. Charges against him were pending.
