MANHATTAN LAWSUIT SPARKS MODEL WARS OVER ‘SHINING STAR’

A feud has erupted between rival modeling agencies over a pretty face who has been dubbed an “All-American beauty” and the “next Cindy Crawford,” according to court papers made public today.

Ford Models has sued Next Management and Kendra Spears — accusing the rival agency of stealing the 20-year-old stunner who had a contract with them after she was a finalist at Ford’s Supermodel of the World competition last year.

In the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday, Ford claims Spears is “one of the shining stars” of the catwalk world and that she was “signed as a prospect while still a teenager in braces.”

“For more than a year, Ford has painstakingly cultivated Spears… [and] taught her how to be an international fashion model.”

The lawsuit also accuses Spears, a college student from Seattle, of breaching an exclusive contract with Ford after Next Management lured her away.

Spears had previously signed a three-year deal with Ford before deciding to jump ship.
