‘Skank’ hackers’ revenge

Hackers ambushed the Manhattan Supreme Court Web site and Google yesterday in a very specific attack that appears to be retaliation for the search engine exposing the identity of a trash-talking blogger.

Anyone who uses Google to search for “SCROLL New York,” the court’s case-search page, instead gets linked — after logging in — to a PDF of the January lawsuit filed against the Internet giant.

It does not appear that the hackers infiltrated the court’s server. The attack managed to make the Google court papers appear as the No. 1 search result instead of the site’s main page.

The rerouting occurs only when searching the site through Google. It functions properly when searched through other engines.

“We will be contacting Google to let them know about the issue and to ensure that our site users don’t have any problems in the future,” said Kali Holloway, a court spokeswoman.

Google did not return calls for comment.

Model Liskula Cohen sued Google in January demanding the company reveal the identity of the person who had disparaged her on a blog called “Skanks in NYC.”

As a result of the case, Google was forced in August to out the blogger, Rosemary Port, a fellow model who held a grudge against Cohen.
