That’s Al folks! Harrington’s Knicks season is over

INDIANAPOLIS — Al Harrington will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery today and likely has played his last game as a Knick.

Harrington will be a free agent and decided to get a jump on summer. He said last week he would delay arthroscopic surgery on his AC joint until after the season, but the pain after a collision with Bill Walker Sunday in Los Angeles prompted him to do it now.

“I couldn’t deal with the pain anymore,” Harrington said in an e-mailed statement.

Plus, his rehab will take 3-4 months and he wants to be healthy come July 1.

“As far as my future, I want to finish my career in New York,” Harrington said.

Of course, Harrington didn’t specify whether that included Brooklyn — the Nets’ future home. He recently told The Post he would look at the Nets as a destination, though genuinely wants to remain a Knick.

Coach Mike D’Antoni wouldn’t rule out Harrington’s return, but it’s highly doubtful.

“There’s going to be a thousand scenarios out there and I like Al,” D’Antoni said. “He puts his heart and soul into everything.”
