Another ‘Jersey Shore’ fight under investigation

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Prosecutors in New Jersey are investigating another fight involving a cast member of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” reality show.

Seaside Heights police arrested Ronald Ortiz-Magro, a.k.a Ronnie, after a Sept. 4 brawl that started on the boardwalk.

In an upcoming episode, the 24-year-old Bronx resident is taped fighting another man.

Magro spent a few hours in jail, had a mug shot taken and paid about $600 for bail, reports People.

“I really don’t feel bad for the altercations that I did get into in Seaside because I’m really not a person who likes to fight,” Magro tells the mag, saying the other party instigated the situation by insulting his girlfriend, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, and castmate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

“He was just being a drunk jerk, saw the camera … [and] I think he chased us down like two blocks or something like that. At that point, you’re like, ‘What am I gonna do?’”

Senior Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Hillary Bryce says the victim lost consciousness. Bryce says authorities are trying to determine whether it was an aggravated assault or simple assault.

Bryce says the victim’s name is not being released at this time.

Fellow cast member Snooki was punched in the face in a Seaside bar in August.

The show has been criticized for its portrayal of young Italian-Americans.
