Pataki’s daughter joins Bloomberg administration

Emily Pataki, eldest daughter of former Gov. George Pataki, has joined the Bloomberg Administration as a $70,000-a-year aide to the mayor’s criminal justice coordinator, officials said today.

“We’ve hired her to work on human trafficking issues,” said Stu Loeser, the mayor’s spokesman.

Loeser said Emily Pataki, a 2006 graduate of Columbia Law School, had previously worked on women’s issues in an unpaid internship at the high-powered White & Case law firm.

Emily Pataki was last in the news when it was reported that she flunked her first attempt at the bar exam.

Officials said she has since passed the test and was admitted to the bar in 2007.
