Prez’s jacket coming off in Times Square

They’re losing their pitchman-in-chief.

Weatherproof, an outdoor clothing company, is set to yank a Times Square billboard featuring President Obama decked out in one of its jackets.

The gargantuan ad, slung high above the Crossroads of the World, sparked outrage because the photo was used without White House permission.

The pic was taken by an Associated Press lensman during Obama’s trip to China last November.

The president can been seen striking a pose, with the Great Wall in the background.

The company’s president, Freddie Stollmack, pledged yesterday to yank the billboard in a phone call to the White House, Fox News reported.

“The White House has a longstanding policy disapproving of the use of the president’s name and likeness for commercial purposes,” White House spokesman Ben LaBolt said in a written statement.

On Wednesday, Stollmack said Weatherproof got permission from the wire service to use the image.

“We’re always looking to raise the image of Weatherproof, and what better way to do that than with the president of the United States wearing our coat?” he told Fox News.
