Cops to cap Wisconsin protest

After 12 days of protests, sing-alongs and raucous marches, downtown Madison, Wis., will be quiet tonight.

Local police are plan ning to empty the area around the Capitol building of protesters at 4 p.m. today, the first time in almost two weeks activists won’t be allowed to camp in the square.

That didn’t deter tens of thousands from rallying again yesterday over proposed legislation that would cut state employee pay and benefits.
