Charlie Sheen fired by Warner Bros.

Charlie, you’re fired!

Warner Bros., the studio behind “Two and a Half Men,” finally axed Charlie Sheen today, in the wake of his bizarre and ongoing media blitz.

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately,” the studio said in a statement.

In terms of the hit sitcom itself, it was unclear whether the show would be canceled. “No decision has been made,” studio spokesman Paul McGuire said.

Sheen responded by calling Warner’s decision “very good news,” TMZ.com reported.

“They continue to be in breach, like so many whales,” he said. “It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc**k again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

In a letter to Sheen’s attorney, Warner explained the reasons behind its move.

“Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill,” the letter states. “For months before the suspension of production, Mr. Sheen’s erratic behavior escalated while his condition deteriorated. His declining condition undermined the production in numerous and significant ways.”

“In halting production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ (the ‘Show’) for the remainder of the season and suspending Mr. Sheen’s employment on the Show, Warner Bros. took the only responsible action open to it-morally and legally-in these painful circumstances,” the letter continued. “Warner Bros. would not, could not, and should not attempt to continue “business as usual” while Mr. Sheen destroys himself as the world watches.”

Last month, CBS pulled the plug on the top-rated sitcom for the rest of the season after a ranting and raging Charlie Sheen called Lorre “a stupid . . little man and a p- – -y punk.”

After the move, Sheen wrote TMZ.com, saying, “What does this say about Haim Levine [Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me?”

“This contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power . . . Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words.”

Sheen has a long history of problems.

In October, a drugged up and naked Sheen — just two months out of rehab — allegedly trashed his room at The Plaza Hotel in a frantic bid to find his wallet and cellphone after partying with a hooker.

Sheen earlier this year agreed to go into rehab. However, he quickly opted for rehab at home, which turned into a free-for-all.

He turned up at a practice for UCLA’s baseball team on Feb. 10 and told players there, “Don’t do crack. Drink chocolate milk.”

He called into DirecTV/Fox Sports Radio’s “The Dan Patrick Show” and said, “I was sober for five years a long time ago and was just bored out of my tree.”

He said sobriety was “inauthentic” to him. “It’s not who I am. I didn’t drink for 12 years and, man, that first one [drink], Dan. Wow.”

More recently, Sheen was in several interviews with the two women who live with him, a porn star and a bikini model for a marijuana magazine.

“You’ve read about the goddesses, come on. They’re an international sensation,” Sheen told ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “These are my girlfriends. These are the women that I love that have completed the three parts of my heart.”

“It seems crazy to everybody else, but for us it works,” said Natalie Kenly, the model who also is described as Sheen’s nanny.

“We all love and respect each other and respect each others boundaries,” she added.

“Natty and Charlie have their own special connection, I have my own connection with Charlie and then Natty and I also have our own relationship,” said Rachel Oberlin, the porn star who works under the name Bree Olson.

The public has eaten it all up with a big spoon.

Sheen was the fastest ever to 1 million followers on Twitter and he now has 2 million.

His tweets have bordered on motivational speak. For instance, he wrote, “Ready for my next fastball, world? PLAN BETTER Applies to everything where an excuse now sits. Try it. U won’t be wrong. Ever.”

But Warner notes in its letter that it has been concerned about Sheen for some time.

“When Mr. Sheen returned from Christmas [2010] hiatus, he had lost a large amount of weight –more than 20 pounds, according to Show personnel,” the letter says. “He appeared to be using drugs heavily. Warner executives and Mr. Lorre, among others, told Mr. Sheen and his representatives that Mr. Sheen urgently needed treatment and was putting his life at risk.

Mr. Lorre also reached out to Mr. Sheen’s family and friends in an effort to get him help, without success. Mr. Sheen, while admitting he had lost weight, denied having any problems.”

On the set, “Mr. Sheen had difficulty remembering his lines and hitting his marks,” the Warner says, citing show outtakes.
