Keeping an Eye on Lohan

She’s a “Mean Girl” with an “Evil Eye.”

A fashionably late Lindsay Lohan strutted into an LA court yesterday dolled up in a sexy, form-fitting leather dress and a necklace adorned with an Evil Eye pendant.

In rejecting a plea-bargain offer that would have sent her to jail, Lohan barely uttered a word — but spoke volumes with her get-up.

The 24-year-old actress, who was seven minutes late, wore a hot beige number by LA designer Raquel Allegra and a conspicuous gold necklace. The $2,200, 18-karat chain and pendant, named Evil Eye, was crafted by New York City-based jewelry designer Judith Ripka.

One was given to Big Apple entrepreneur Eric Freiberg, a longtime customer of Ripka’s. Freiberg, 39, of Armonk, Westchester County, says he sent the bling to Lohan’s managers in February to give her a lift amid her legal woes.

“I thought she needed some help to ward off bad spirits,” Freiberg said.

Both Freiberg and a Ripka rep say the pendant Lohan wore is the one he gave her.

Lohan has been charged with felony grand theft for allegedly swiping a $2,500 necklace from an LA jewelry store on Jan. 22.

LA County Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz set the wheels in motion for a possible trial and scheduled an April 22 preliminary hearing for Lohan. But she still has until March 25 to accept a plea deal. The judge has said any deal would involve jail time.
