“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe may follow up his pursuit of Lord Voldemort with an even more challenging feat: A successful movie musical.
The 21-year-old said Monday he was open to reprising his current Broadway turn in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” on the big screen.
“A lot of things would have to be right for it to happen,” Radcliffe told Entertainment Weekly. “In terms of the script, I think it’s very hard to adapt. But, you know, nor am I going to rule out the possibility.”
Radcliffe picked up largely positive reviews Sunday night for his Broadway work — the second time he has performed on the Great White Way after 2008’s “Equus.”
The New York Post called him “so adorable in his Broadway musical debut, you just want to pinch his cheeks.”
Audiences have been similarly enamored; the show sold out in its last full week of previews.
No movie adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning work has yet been confirmed. But Radcliffe said he would not be surprised if it came together.
“The producers of the show would not be doing their jobs properly if they were not at this moment in time talking about the possibility of a ‘How to Succeed’ movie,” he said.
