Softball roundup: Jimenez pitches Environmental past Stuy

Jocelyn Jimenez gave up no runs on four hits and struck out six in a complete-game effort to lead Environmental Studies to a 4-0 win over Stuyvesant in PSAL Manhattan A softball Monday. Jimenez did not walk a batter.

Giselle Espaillat went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored and Chasity Velez and Christine Luciano each had RBIs for Environmental Studies (2-0 Manhattan A).

Morgan Higgins gave up four runs, two earned, on five hits and struck out six in six innings for Stuyvesant (1-1). Gabrielle Gillow had two hits.

Clinton 13, Riverdale/Kingsbridge 9: Tayna Pena went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs, Marigold Yin was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run and Alondra Soroa went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs to lead Clinton (2-0 Bronx A). RKA is 0-2.

Francis Lewis 23, Van Buren 1: Bianca Concepcion went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and four runs scored and Theo Alexandrou went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Lewis (3-0 Queens A-I). Priscilla Lallave gave up one hit and struck out five in three innings. Van Buren is 0-3.

Bayside 22, Bowne 0: Kaitlyn Klein tossed a three-inning no-hitter and struck out six for Bayside (3-0 Queens A-I). Gloria Li went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored and Gianna DiCamillo went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run. Bowne is 0-2.

LaGuardia 20, Murry Bergtraum 0: Alex Sappington tossed a three-inning no-hitter, striking out eight and Chelsea Correa and Sappington each had four RBIs for LaGuardia (2-0 Manhattan A). Sappington also had a home run. Bergtraum is 0-3.

Manhattan Center 16, George Washington 10: Yen Pham, Laura Molina, Dzifa Avalime and Fanta Magassouba each had two runs scored to lead Center (2-0 Manhattan A). GW is 0-2.

St. Joseph by the Sea 11, Notre Dame Academy 0: Alexa Tedeschi threw a five-inning one hitter, striking out six and walking one for St. Joseph by the Sea (1-0) in CHSAA Staten Island. Kristina Mazzarisi had three hits, two runs and two RBIs. Meghan Seaman and Noelle Mulligan each collected two hits, two runs and two RBI. Notre Dame is 0-1

Brooklyn Tech 19, Banneker 1: Simone Sevilla went 5-for-5 with five RBIs and three runs scored and Amisa Ratliff pitched a four-inning no-hitter to lead Brooklyn Tech (3-0 Brooklyn B-II). Banneker is 2-1.

American Studies 23, Banana Kelly 0: Sarah Paisner pitched a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts and Phoebe O’Connor went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored for American Studies (3-1 Bronx B-II). Banana Kelly is 1-2.

Economics & Finance 20, Baruch College Campus 0: Jaritza Aviles pitched a three-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts and Krystyna Gloss had two RBIs to lead Economics & Finance (1-0 Manhattan B-1). Baruch is 0-1.

Eleanor Roosevelt 21, Chelsea 1: Jamie Liptack went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored and Katherine Reyes went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs to lead Roosevelt (2-0 Manhattan B-1). Chelsea is 0-1.

Morris 18, Monroe 3: Grisleysi Suriel had three RBIs and Brittany Sanchez, Chasity Quinones, Jennifer Bronson, Nathalya Granada and Kimberly Rosario all had two RBIs for Morris (2-0 Bronx B-I). Monroe is 1-1.
