When the call came about a week ago, it humbled Darrelle Revis as much as it excited him.
It was an invitation from President Obama to join him for dinner at an affair at the Waldorf Astoria hotel last night.
When Revis spoke with Obama last night, he said he was truly blown away because the first thing the president wanted to know about was Revis Island.

“We spoke for about five or 10 minutes, and the first thing he said to me was, ‘How’s the Island?’ ” Revis said last night.
“I was laughing. I couldn’t believe it. This is the President of the United States, and he knows about Revis Island.
“I told him it was good, and that I’m always keeping it covered.”
Revis called being invited to the dinner with the president “a privilege and an honor.”
