Lohan released from jail after just 4 1/2 hours, calls experience ‘scary’

LYNWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan called jail “scary” — and she was there for less than five hours!

Lohan was released from a Los Angeles County jail early today, but that didn’t stop her from telling friends that her 4 1/2 hour stint in jail was “scary” — even though she was never placed with the general population, TMZ.com reported.

Sources said Lohan described the jail as “cold” — saying it’s one of the worst places she’s ever visited.

Jail overcrowding has led to significantly shortened jail terms.

In 2007, Lohan spent 84 minutes at the jail before being released, and in the past she has served about 20 percent of her sentence, which is roughly six days.

The “Mean Girls” actress was booked into the Century Regional Detention facility in Lynwood at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, in what was expected to be a short stay because of jail overcrowding.
