$kinning fat cat Moore

Gasbag Michael Moore went ballistic yesterday after a reporter asked him if he was really among the hated richest “1 percent” of Americans during an Occupy Denver event.

“You’re just punk media is all you are,” he raged at a newsman from Denver’s CBS affiliate. “You lie. You lie to people. Stop lying to people. Stop lying.”

Moore went off on reporter Evrod Cassimy after the journalist put a microphone to his face and asked if he was worth $50 million, a sum that would put Moore firmly among the kind of earners who are the target of the Occupy movement.

Moore admitted, “I do well,” then said, “I’m not worth $50 million” when asked about “rumors” of his net worth.

When asked later, “Are you not part of the 1 percent?” he replied, “Just don’t lie, OK?”

Moore had just finished railing against greedy rich people to a group of Occupy Denver protesters — while also showing some corporate-style synergy during his Denver visit by holding a signing to promote his new book, according to CBS.

The left-leaning filmmaker told the Occupy protesters they must stand against greed.

“We were willing to tolerate just plain old greedy,” he told the crowd. “We didn’t like it, but we didn’t do anything about it. And I guess that sent the wrong message to them. They just kept their boot on the necks of the American people for five minutes too long.”

The reports of his wealth are more than just rumors.

The $50 million figure comes from a report by celebritynetworth.com, which tracks the earnings of famous people.

The site noted that his three biggest movies, “ ‘Bowling For Columbine,’ ‘Fahrenheit 911’ and ‘Capitalism A Love Story,’ have earned over $300 million at the box office.”

During his angry interview with the Denver station, Moore did admit that he would take a hit on any future millionaires tax.

“Because I do well, I want taxes raised on people who do well, including mine,” he said.
