This weeks couple: Cupid strikes!

Blind dates are always a gamble, but when we set up Beth, a 25-year-old H.R. rep, and Cooper, a 26-year-old creative director, we hit the jackpot. While the pair downed mussels at the Upper East Side seafood joint Flex Mussels they talked about everything from iPhones to the best happy hour in the city. So, what’s up next for these lovebirds?

He said:

I arrived a few minutes early and grabbed a beer at the bar. I was nervous at the beginning because I knew nothing about Beth except that she was bubbly and cute. Cute is an understatement — she is beautiful. She has an excellent sense of style and a great smile.

I knew right away this was going to be a fun night. We were seated at a corner table that was perfect for quiet conversation. We talked about our favorite places in the city and she schooled me on the best happy hour in the Financial District. We also talked about the sports we’ve played — she participates in a variety of ZogSports teams, and she’s currently trying to find an inner tube water polo team. I don’t remember there being any lulls in the conversation, she was electric and engaging the entire evening. I look forward to seeing her again.

She said:

Cooper and I started talking right away and he put me at ease about the date. It was a very easy and comfortable conversation. He went to college next to the town where I grew up, so we talked a bit about the Boston area. I also just got an iPhone, so he had fun teasing me about how I don’t quite know how to use it yet.

The time flew by, and before I knew it, they were closing up the restaurant! Overall, I had a great time. At the end of the night we exchanged phone numbers — I would definitely see Cooper again!
