‘Dancing With the Stars” host Tom Bergeron believes the dance show ought to pare back its schedule to one season per year from two.
Ratings are down nearly 14 percent from last fall, and Bergeron says maybe fans are too familiar with the show.
“One season a year works very well for ‘American Idol,’ ” Bergeron told TV Guide.
“I certainly think that’s one of the things that should be considered going forward.”
The host acknowledges that this season’s cast, which includes C-listers such as Kristin Cavallari and Chaz Bono, is not “resonating” with viewers.
