NBA’s Stern warning from fans

The Issue: The disrupted NBA seasons because of contract negotiations between players and owners.

When will NBA commissioner David Stern come to his senses and realize that the league is out-pricing itself (“NBA Season ‘in Jeopardy’ After Union Disbands,” Nov. 15)?

The salaries and ticket prices are astronomical.

Be prepared for a long strike.

I have no problem watching more college basketball this season.

Just deserts would be dispensed if the ridiculous NBA players had to declare bankruptcy and work as janitors, dishwashers or fast-food employees.

Does anyone in professional sports ever consider how outrageous it is for those who are fat and happy to be squabbling over how much more they can squeeze out of their employers, while many of the fans, who pay to see an occasional game, are either unemployed or underemployed?

Hey, NBA. I’ve got news for you.

All we want for Christmas this year is not to have to see your mugs, thugs and tats on our TV screens.

Please cancel those games already.
