The Situation suing Abercrombie for $4M

“The Situation” to Abercrombie & Fitch: “Come at me bro!”

The abs obsessed “Jersey Shore” star is suing the frat-boy friendly clothing line for $4 million for making money off his name and stealing some of his famous catch phrases from the show.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino says that Abercrombie “significantly profited” from a “false affiliation” after it put out a joke press statement in August offering to pay the legendary Guido “to wear an alternate brand.”

“Defendant’s advertising campaign was immensely successful; as it resulted in hundreds of newspapers and thousands of internet bloggers, publishing stories about Defendant’s products and brand,” according to a excerpt from the Florida federal case filing obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

“The Situation” is also angry that the Ohio-based clothing firm put out a t-shirt emblazoned with “The Fitchuation” and another with the phrase, “GTL . . . You Know The Deal.”

The second shirt is an apparent riff on “The Situation’s” catch phrase “GTL,” for “gym, tanning, laundry,” tasks that are the highlight of each Guido’s day. The reality star already markets his own “GTL” gear.

“The Situation’s” relationship with A&F wasn’t always so bad. He used to be commonly seen hiking up his shirts to show off his abs, and the Abercrombie logo on his undershorts.
