Bronx man dies after being run over twice

An unfortunate Bronx pedestrian was run over twice late yesterday and killed, police said.

Bosey L. Johnson, 53, was crossing Boston Road in Tremont, near 174th Street, when a 1995 Infiniti Q45 struck him in the southbound left lane with the driver’s side front part of the car shortly before 11:20 p.m. The 31-year-old driver slammed on her brakes, and Johnson landed in the left lane of northbound Boston Road.

A driver, 31, in a 2000 Honda Civic swerved to the right to avoid smashing into him, but the front part of her car also drove over him. Both drivers stayed on scene, and no criminality is suspected.

EMS rushed Johnson to St. Barnabus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He lived in the neighborhood on Seabury Place, near Boston Road.
