Supe’s debut fetches $2M

A rare, near-pristine copy of Action Comics No. 1, featuring the first appearance of Superman — and believed to be the copy once stolen from actor Nicolas Cage — sold yesterday for a super price in an online auction.

It went for $2,161,000 — the first time a comic has topped $2 million at auction, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The issue was published in 1938 and cost just 10 cents.
