Now you can stock your office with official “Office” paper.
NBC has teamed up with paper company Quill to create an officially licensed brand of Dunder Mifflin Inc. copy paper — natch — based on the fictional paper product supply company where the mockumentary comedy series is set.
The Dunder Mifflin brand letter-size paper is 20 lb. 92 bright white sustainable paper, just like the stuff that most standard printers and copy machines are stocked with these days.
In a nod to diehard fans, “The Office” paper packaging is decorated with slogans from the series, including “Our motto is Quabity [sic] First,” “Get Your Scrant On” (the show is set in Scranton, Pa.) and “Limitless paper in a paperless world.”
Quill.com and NBC-store.com are currently taking pre-orders for the paper, which ships on Dec. 26. A 500-sheet ream sets you back $9.98, while a box — 10 reams — ranges from $47.99 to $74.98. (In contrast, a single ream of Quill-branded paper retails for $7.59.)
Down the line, the paper will also be available at Staples, Quill’s parent company.
As part of the two-year “reverse product placement” deal, the Wall Street Journal reports that NBC Universal will get about 6 percent of the revenue from sales of the copy paper.
