Woman fatally shot, man injured at Bronx nightclub

A woman was fatally shot early Sunday at a Bronx nightclub.

The motive for the killing was unknown, WNBC-TV reported.

The shooting occurred at around 4:00am local time at Club Heat, police said. Officers arrived on the scene and found 33-year-old Monique Rodriguez dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

An unidentified 28-year-old man was also shot in the arm. He left the scene in a car before taking an ambulance to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.

It was not known if Rodriguez and the 28-year-old man were the intended targets of the shooting, WNBC reported.
