‘Tunnel vision’ guy sues

It’s revenge of the Mole Man!

An urban explorer from Brooklyn is slapping the city with a $100 million lawsuit that he hopes will enable him to go back underground to lead tours of an abandoned railroad tunnel under Atlantic Avenue.

“This is truly a David-and-Goliath story,” said Bob Diamond, 52. “The city had no problem with us for the past 30 years while we popularized the tours.”

But officials had a problem with Diamond last year, citing serious public-safety concerns and booting him from the tunnel.

A spokeswoman for the city Law Department said it has yet to be served with the suit, filed Tuesday in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

Diamond rediscovered the tunnel, located between Hicks and Court streets, in 1980. It was built in 1844 as part of a conduit between New York Harbor and Boston.
