‘Sex prof’ lawsuit

There was a lot of heavy breathing in this Columbia University class — and it wasn’t even phys ed.

A Bronx woman claims in a lawsuit that her instructor repeatedly pressured her for sex and told her that unless she hit the sack with him, she would fail her independent-study class in — of all things — human trafficking.

The suit, filed in Manhattan federal court, says that Professor Paul Martin constantly asked Laura Williams whether she had a boyfriend or spent nights and weekends alone and that he sat “close enough to breathe on her face.”

“If you want a good grade, you need to have sex with me,” he allegedly told her.

And when she refused, he accused her of cheating and claimed she failed to produce a required paper, though he had agreed to waive the class’s writing assignments, she added.

Columbia officials did not respond to her complaints, said Williams. Martin could not be reached for comment.
