Rapper Gucci Mane released from jail early for good behavior

ATLANTA — Rapper Gucci Mane has been released early from an Atlanta jail for good behavior, Billboard reported Tuesday.

Mane — real name Radric Davis — was sentenced in September to six months in Fulton County jail after pleading guilty to pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle.

The Atlanta-based rapper was arrested in April for the January incident and charged with two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct.

His representative told Billboard he was released Sunday after serving three months due to good behavior.

After his release, Davis told hip-hop magazine XXL his latest stint behind bars was “the last time I think I’ll ever be in jail.”

He said the term was “a time for me to sit back and just refocus the whole way I do things.”

Davis previously served two jail sentences for drug charges and probation violation.

A collaborative album between Davis and rapper V-Nasty, titled “BAYTL,” was released Tuesday.
