Gov. Cuomo: I was on Al Gore’s VP list

Gov. Cuomo, who many Democrats consider a top presidential White House aspirant in 2016, said Al Gore once considered him to be his vice presidential running mate.

Cuomo — during a GQ interview — said he was on Gore’s veep “short list” in 2000.

Asked about speculation that he would one day run for president, Cuomo said, “It’s flattering on one level. If you take it seriously, you know?”

Meanwhile, the governor said he’s no slouch when making pasta. He was asked about if his significant other, TV Food Network star Sandra Lee, taught him to make spaghetti sauce “semi-homemade.”

“I make my own sauce my own way. She can make her sauce,” he said.
