Katy Perry was too much of a firecracker even for her bad-boy husband.
England’s most notorious love rat Russell Brand filed for divorce from the “Firework” singer because of Perry’s hard-partying ways, according to a report.
Brand — a recovering sex and heroin addict with a dozen arrests under his belt — apparently didn’t approve of his ex’s lifestyle and told her she needed to “tone it down,” according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper says Brand, who filed for the split Friday after 14 months, disapproved of her “benders,” like the all-day party she attended at a music festival in Rio in September.
He also took issue with her friends, specifically R&B singer Rihanna, who he felt was a bad influence.
The pair sparked rumors of a split on Christmas when they celebrated on different continents — Perry with friends in Hawaii and Brand with family in the UK.
