Homeless train horror

A drunken homeless man was seriously injured yesterday when he fell between the cars of a subway train while in the middle of a tirade against a fellow passenger.

Jason Snyder, 40, was sleeping across three seats on the second car of a jampacked downtown No. 1 train at about 9:30 a.m. when a man brushed up against or bumped into him, witnesses said.

The two argued, as the homeless guy yelled, “You hit me.”

When the train pulled into West 66th Street at Lincoln Center, Snyder got off and challenged his antagonist to a fight.

“Little piece of s–t!” Snyder yelled. “Come off the train! F–k you!”

As the train pulled out, Snyder kept up his antics, running alongside it and banging on a window, passengers said.

But his feet somehow got snagged, and he fell between two cars near the front, as people screamed, “Stop the train!”

Snyder remained conscious, a witness said. It took rescuers about a half-hour to extract him from beneath the train.

He suffered a fractured skull and a broken hip, and was listed last night in stable, condition at New York Hospital.
