MetroDunce was out to sell guns: DA

The turnstile jumper busted inside a Times Square subway station with two fully loaded firearms — including a machine gun — tried to beat the fare because he couldn’t figure out how to buy a MetroCard, a law-enforcement source said yesterday.

Reggie Allen told cops he tried to ride for free New Year’s Day after he was stumped by a MetroCard vending machine at the West 42nd Street station at Eighth Avenue, the source said.

Cops caught Allen, 33, a Columbia, SC, gun nut, with a .45-caliber handgun in his waistband and a machine gun in his bag — with more than 30 bullets in the clip.

Allen illegally purchased the weapons in Washington, DC, and brought them here to sell them on the streets, prosecutors said at his arraignment last night.

Allen, 33, who sports a “Me Against the World” tattoo on his neck, was hit with a slew of weapons charges, including possession of a machine gun and ammo clip.

Prosecutors added that he’s wanted in South Carolina for a Sept. 27 cocaine- possession arrest.

He has failed to show up for subsequent court hearings there, prosecutors said.

He was held without bail last night at his arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court.
