Heartbroken friends and family said a painful final goodbye this morning to Amanda Cummings, the Staten Island teen who killed herself last month after what her family said was a vicious campaign of cyberbullying by her classmates.

Scores of mourners filled the St. Ann’s Church on Cromwell Avenue for her 10 a.m. funeral service. Many railed against the cruel taunts the 15-year-old endured before she jumped in front of a bus on Dec. 27.

“I just want all the talking on Facebook to end, I want everything, all the cyberbullying to stop,” said mourner Joey Demato after the service.

Police are now investigating the death to see if any of the bullying rose to the level of a crime.

Cummings’ mother Cece Weber and sister Dawn Weber didn’t speak at the ceremony, but the pair silently followed her casket out of the church after the funeral mass, laying pink and white roses on top.

“The peace and happiness that seemed to have eluded Amanda in her life, she’ll have in full in the presence of the lord,” Rev. Joy Mampilly said during the ceremony.

Demato, a classmate of Amanda’s, eulogized her during the service, remembering her as smart, funny and full of promise.

“We all loved Amanda — she had an amazing personality,” he said. “She was always the life of the party, from her laugh, to her intelligent humorous perspective on life. She was a blessing to us all.

“She was always there to comfort, always there to talk, always having fun. She helped most of us, hopefully all of us, get through the day, not even realizing she was helping us to do so.”

One friend, Ronny Ross, 17, said few ever saw the real Amanda, because so few chose to look beneath the surface.

“People tend to judge a book by its first page and that was Amanda, an innocent girl died,” he said. “ An innocent girl was led to suicide by insecure delinquents.”

After the ceremony, Amanda’s remains will be cremated and interred in Moravian Cemetery in New Dorp.
