Someone can’t take a joke!
A Rockville Centre woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly pointed a handgun at a teen she apparently thought had been ringing her doorbell and running away, police said.
Bernadette Greenwald, 47, was arrested after she pointed a 9 mm handgun at the 17-year-old in front of her N. Forest Avenue home just after 11 p.m. and held him until police arrived — who promptly charged Greenwald with second-degree menacing, reckless endangerment and unlawful use of a weapon, cops said.
Greenwald was apparently furious after someone rang her doorbell and then ran off three times. She got a revolver, fired a single shot outside of her home and then confronted the teen who was walking by, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, and the teen was not charged.
