Marchesa clothing-line CEO and Harvey Weinstein brother-in-law Edward Chapman allegedly choked his girlfriend during a domestic spat, court records claim.
But a rep for the girlfriend, Brooke Geahan, insists that it was all a “misunderstanding” and that she doesn’t want the executive prosecuted.
He nonetheless is facing misdemeanor choking and harassment charges.
“Edward and I are both deeply in love with each other, and this is all a terrible misunderstanding after a night at the Boom Boom Room,” Geahan said yesterday in a statement.
“We’ve all had those,” she added. “I am not pressing any charges. Nor is there any love lost.”
But she told cops a different story early Saturday.
“My boyfriend broke down the door. He attacked me and choked me,” Geahan told officers, according to the criminal complaint.
