Babs and Oprah fight for Pippa interview

Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey are battling to land Pippa Middleton for her first US interview, according to reports.

Pippa, who nearly stole the show at the royal wedding of her older sister Catherine and Britain’s Prince William, is promoting her new party-planning book later this year.

“The big guns see Pippa as the big-name interview of 2012,” a source told London’s Sunday Mirror.

“Oprah and Barbara Walters are hot on the case.”

Pippa has a $600,000 deal with British publisher Penguin to write a book how to throw the perfect party. She is an event planner.

Walters has been on a streak lately after interviewing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and getting the first look at Mariah Carey’s twins, all in the last month.
