JFK screener in 5G theft bust

A Tsa agent was arrested at Kennedy Airport for allegedly stealing $5,000 from a passenger’s jacket at a security checkpoint.

Alexandra Schmid, 31, was caught on surveillance video and by an alert co-worker who reported her theft to colleagues, the federal security agency said.

Schmid allegedly grabbed the money — all $100 bills — from the jacket pocket and took it to a restroom stuffed in a plastic glove.

When cops arrived to arrest her, she was carrying just $500 of the stolen loot, sources said. It was unclear what happened to the rest.

Schmid, 31, of Brooklyn, was suspended from her job and was awaiting arraignment last night in Queens Criminal Court.

A Port Authority Police source said Schmid had been suspected of other recent thefts.

“We’ve been watching her for a while,” the source said.
