Keeping in step with the show’s soundtrack — a continuous loop playing versions of The Smiths’ “How Soon Is Now” — the Richard Chai — Love collection was a unisex love letter to melancholy youth with somber grays, blacks, rusts and earthy browns. A black and gray stripe wool found its way into an oversized woman’s blazer with exaggerated shoulders, slim trousers, an overcoat and men’s trousers. Both men and women walked in belted parkas and coats with massive pockets like attached satchels. The mood was brightened at the end of the show by a dark rose floral with hints of hot pink in wide leg trousers, a baggy blazer and pencil skirt.
