Duckie Brown

It was all about fusion at Duckie Brown — and in more ways than one. Starting with brand-defining refined worker wear, the design duo sent their boy on a fantastic trip East.

Knit caps were twisted into turbans, trousers splayed into harem-like balloons and a few heads topped with Mongolian shearling that made for dramatic trompe l’oeil toupees. And then there were the checks, which came big and small both in colorful bands and sophisticated patterns so subtle they appeared only when the models strutted across patches of light. Need a Fair Isle sweater? Yep, that was there, too. Perhaps words cannot match the visual impact of seeing these disparate parts collide, but trust that at show time the pairings made perfect sense.
