LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly punching her son while in the middle of an anger management class.
Misty Lawson, 30, was taking the class on Feb. 4 in Louisville when a counselor saw her punch the 10-year-old boy multiple times in the face and body, bruising his right cheek, WDRB-TV reported.
The counselor reported Lawson to the police and Child Protective Services. She was arrested Thursday and charged with fourth degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Lawson was previously arrested in June 2011 on charges of wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor for leaving two boys, ages nine and 12, in the sweltering backseat of a car while she and a man went into a store to have their pictures taken.
