Sexy ski-bunnies hit the white felt runway(designed to look like a ski slope) in a parade of knit mini-rugby dresses trimmed in sporty stripes and alligator prints, most of which were done in French red,white and blue hues. The vibe was moodier at Jill Stuart, wherethe designer cited “the women of Nick Cave’s world—PJ Harvey, Susie Bick and Lydia Lunch—and the romanticism to their lives” as her inspiration for fall.Models rocked the runway in black sheer frocks stamped with gold metallic roses, flirty skirts paired with collared tops, and a series of party perfect LBD sranging from sweet babydolls to downright sexy (a black longsleevedmini with sheer rose cut-outs).

Marrying feminine touches with expert tailoring, Ruffian collaborated with Italian hatmaker Borsalino for masculine wide-brimmed fedoras. The glamour, which had an almost illicit vibe, was played up with a deep red lip color by MAC—fittingly called Ruffian Red.
