Devils could trade for Wild’s Zidlicky: report

A deal may be in the works to bring Minnesota’s righty defenseman and power play pointman Marek Zidlicky to the Devils.

Reports say Zidlicky, 35, has agreed to waive his no-trade clause to come to New Jersey, where fellow Czechs Patrik Elias and Petr Sykora play.

Reports also say Minnesota GM Chuck Fletcher says he has not yet asked Zidlicky to waive his no-trade clause. Zidlicky, a former Rangers draft pick, has next season remaining on his contract at $4 million.

There was no indication what the Devils would give up in the deal.
