Sarah irked by HBO movie

Sarah Palin yesterday dismissed the upcoming HBO movie “Game Change,” about her and the 2008 presidential campaign, as a “waste of time.”

On the Fox News Channel show “Fox News Sunday,” host Chris Wallace played a clip from the controversial movie — starring Julianne Moore as the former VP candidate — to a clearly uncomfortable Palin.

“Must we?” said Palin.

The clip shows Palin barking into a phone about being “poorly prepped” for an interview and another character, played by Woody Harrelson, saying she was “on the verge of a complete mental breakdown.”

“Is there any truth to the story?” Wallace asked her afterward. “Did you go into a funk during the campaign?”

“I’m sorry that millions of people are going to waste their time,” Palin replied. “I was never in a funk.

“Thank God I have the right perspective on what really matters in life, Chris. And there’s no need to ever be in a funk when you know what right priorities are and what really matters in this life.”

Palin said the movie was based on a “false narrative” but that she deserved credit for providing so many actors with jobs portraying her on TV.

The HBO movie, set to air early next month, is based on the book of the same name by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, an insiders’ account of the 2008 elections.
